The Harris County-Houston Sports Authority in partnership with Webber Marketing is hosting the 2025 National Battle of the Bands. This event will take place on Saturday, August 23 at NRG Stadium. We will need volunteers to assist with the Fan Experience at the NRG Center, before the competition begins.
The “National Battle of the Bands” event was established as the premier kickoff to the fall marching band season, featuring electrifying performances by the country’s top Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) marching bands. This exciting event not only captivates diverse audiences – including teens, young adults, families, college-educated professionals, blue-collar workers, and active seniors – but also highlights the cultural significance of HBCU bands.

Volunteers are the heartbeat of FIFA World Cup 26TM, uniting fans across North America and around the world.
Be part of the action in Houston and help deliver history - as the biggest football tournament ever to be staged comes to Canada, Mexico and the United States.
The official volunteer application for 2026 FIFA World Cup will launch Monday, August 11, 2025.
You can use this link to apply: fifaworldcup.com/volunteers
Will you answer the call?
Volunteers will need to be at least 18 at the time of application and available for the duration of the tournament (11 June – 19 July 2026).
Language should never be a barrier to participation, but volunteers must have a good command of English; knowledge of additional languages is a bonus.
No prior volunteering experience is required. If prospective volunteers are excited about being part of a FIFA event, we encourage them to apply. Specific roles may require additional experience.
Volunteers are the heartbeat of FIFA events. Behind every fan, every whistle and every game is another team: the volunteers.
Best,
